Services
Precision and quality were our trademarks 100 years ago and will remain so in the future. Modern applications have become more complex and the demands on quality and production speed have increased significantly. Understanding complex tasks and manufacturing intricately constructed parts requires flexibility in thought and action. An attentive ear for the wishes and requirements of our customers is also a matter of course for us.
We produce solid formed parts as drop forgings from steel on various presses. We cover the entire value chain: from CAD design, tool production, material separation, forging, heat treatment and finishing to the mechanical processing of the individual forged parts.
Precision and quality as a trademark.
Design/toolmaking
Extensive technical know-how and many years of industry experience make us your powerful partner in the planning, development and design of forming tools. Our modern CAD and simulation systems offer numerous possibilities for the production of tools and devices.
We are happy to advise and support you – especially in the planning of new developments.
Drop forgings
BEW manufactures drop forgings from steel on 5 press lines in the following weight and dimension ranges:
Press force | Weight | Dimensions |
---|---|---|
10.000 kN | up to 4 kg | up to Ø 120 mm |
16.000 kN | up to 9 kg | up to Ø 155 mm |
30.000 kN | up to 32 kg | up to Ø 215 mm |
50.000 kN | up to 35 kg | up to Ø 290 mm |

Heat treatment
Heat treatment
We carry out all of the following heat treatments of forged parts in-house.
- Quenching and tempering
- Isothermal annealing
- Stress relief annealing
- Soft annealing
- Normalizing
- Solution annealing
- B4 annealing from the forging heat
- +P Precipitation hardening (formerly BY treatment)
Mechanical processing
We take on the further processing of their products for many customers, because outsourcing preliminary stages in the production process simplifies work and saves money. After finishing the forged blanks, we carry out the mechanical processing of the products.
Modern CNC machines are then used for final machining according to our customers’ specifications. This involves turning and milling operations as well as drilling, reaming and thread forming. Complete machining is possible at any time on the turning and milling centers. The vertical range of manufacture enables subsequent further processing or direct installation of the finished parts.
Machining options:
Process | Weight | Dimension |
---|---|---|
CNC turning | up to 14 kg | up to Ø 280 mm |
CNC milling | up to 30 kg | Depending on the clamping situation |
Drilling | — | up to Ø 65 mm |
